About

Jenny Klabin was born in Riga, Latvia in 1950. Having migrated to Israel at the age of 6, she lived there most of her life until she married and embarked on many years of travel together with her growing family.

She started sculpting as a hobby, with a natural attraction towards abstract artists like Picasso. With no formal art education and guided by her eye for aesthetics, Jenny began experimenting with work that celebrated the glory of the full figured woman.

The humour, sensuality and confidence exuded by these sculptures expresses what she affectionately refers to as "the freedom, comfort and contentment of the human body".

Now based with her husband in South of France she works in clay, stone and marble.
